Benedict the Otter and Martin the Hedgehog cosplay Sherlock and John by Kat Bifield
A little bit different to my normal knitting projects but I thought it might interest people anyway. The cable knit sweater is based on the same cable and chevron pattern in the original jumper but scaled down and adjusted for hedgehog anatomy.
Martin is a ‘Gund Ganley the hedgehog’ ordered online. I’m fairly sure Benedict is a ‘Hansa plush soft toy river otter’. He was bought from Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
Knitted Sherlock and John Cosplay Doctor Who by Kat Bifield.
Because it is my head-canon that John is a fan of the old Dr Who series and when he realises that Sherlock’s dressing gown is Tardis blue he can’t help himself.
‘Merry Christmas from 221B Baker Street’ by Kat Bifield
A Bee for Sherlock by Kat Bifield
For those people not familiar with the original stories written by Arthur Conan Doyle; at the end of his career Sherlock retires to Sussex to raise bees. Thus bees are one of the few things that can hold his attention for any length of time.

So I made a batch of Gingerdead Men cookies on Friday and suddenly realised that they were little knitted Sherlock sized, which rather amused me.
BECAUSE limegreensushi ASKED ME TO DO IT!!!
See, a while back I posted this photo of Little Knitted John leaning over a bleeding Little Knitted Sherlock. And when I say ‘a while back’ I mean 5 MONTHS BEFORE A SPOOKILY SIMILAR SCENE AIRED AT THE END OF THE FALLS EPISODE.
So… I’m prophetic OR the little knitted dolls are some sort of voodoo dolls and whatever happens to them happens in the BBC Sherlock show. Just in case the later is the truth, limegreensushi posted a comment asking that I have my little knitted Sherlock dolls get married since she wanted John and Sherlock to get married in season 3. Not sure if this is what she was looking for but this is what I came up with.

I may end up working these into a little knitted John blog post - I have this vague idea of a serial killer targeting newly wed couples that were married at a particular church so Sherlock decides to try to draw him out by staging a wedding… but that could take a while and I really just wanted to share :)
The Case of the Bright Blue Pigeon by Kat Bifield
So I actually knitted from a pattern for a change! The Stitch London book (look here: http://knitthepigeon.com/) I bought at a recent craft fair had the pattern and materials to make this little guy. A much simpler knit than my usual projects but I just loved the thought of a bright blue pigeon flying around 221B with Sherlock and John (why is he bright blue? Well that’s the colour the yarn provided was. But I like to think that it’s due to some sort of experiment Sherlock was doing :)
Also, MY FIRST EVER GIF!!! I’m very proud of myself :)
I’ve just entered the SOYA (Spirit of Young Australia Awards) Craft and Object Design Category. First prize is a TRIP TO LONDON!!! That’s right, if I win I could take Little Knitted Sherlock and Co to London, bringing me a freaking huge step closer to my dream of photographing my little knitted dolls with members of the Sherlock cast.
Apparently public opinion is taken into consideration when choosing a winner so I (and Sherlock and John etc) would really love it if you could quickly visit my profile and ‘like’ or ‘love’ it and/or some of my work.

Love and Thanks, Kat.
